Isley Brewing Company is a Micro Craft brewery and tasting room in Scott’s Addition. Isley was actually the first craft brewery to open in Scott’s Addition back in 2013 so they really set the scene in terms of what was to come for the bustling area that Scott’s Addition is today (there are now over 13 breweries, cideries, meaderies and distilleries in this district). In their tasting room, you can sample flights, grab some cans to-go, and get a growler filled with your favorite brew. Isley offers amazing indoor space with board games, TVs (you rarely find TV’s in breweries so it’s the perfect place to watch the big games!), weekly trivia, live music, and karaoke. There is also an urban patio area (with a brand new raised deck) featuring a variety of outdoor games. If the Richmond Flying Squirrels are playing a home game, the back patio is a great spot to catch some fireworks! Isley typically has one food truck serving up some good eats for you to enjoy while you’re there. Isley was named by USA Today as one of the top 50 brewery destinations in the WORLD so be sure to add them to your next brewery outing list. You can check them out on our Scott’s Addition route (Saturday afternoon and evening rides) and try their “Choosy Mother” Peanut Butter Porter or their “Blueberry Plain Jane” Belgian White Ale.
