This small, family-owned rural brewery is located just outside of Richmond in Powhatan County and was established in 2017. They have a beautiful indoor tasting room area featuring a fireplace (inside and outside) in the colder temperatures and an amazing outside patio for those warmer days. Fine Creek is a limited-production brewery meaning they rotate their beers quickly and avoid flagships – there is always something new and exciting to try. You may think that they only make one or two types of beer given their small scale and that they rotate beers so quickly, but that is far from true. You can find a variety of beers on their 12 taps – ranging from extremely fresh IPA’s and traditional lagers to dry-hopped and fruited saisons and barrel-aged sours; there’s a little something for everyone. The recent addition of wine and cider only further proves this point. Fine Creek currently partners with Blenheim, Whitehall, Stinson, and Courthouse Creek for their cider and wine options. You will not find food trucks at this location because Fine Creek has its own kitchen and, like the beer, their food menu is constantly changing and features delicious items from local farmers. If you like salmon, you’ve got to try their smoked salmon dish which is one of the few staple menu items. Fine Creek is featured on our Western Route (Sunday afternoons) but is also a super popular destination for private events. If you’re looking for beautiful scenery and delicious food/beverages be sure to add this to the top of your list!
