Ardent Craft Ales was the third brewery to open in Scott’s Addition back in 2014 and bodes a taproom as well as a beer garden; this includes a 4-seasons patio featuring a tent in the winter months. The patio is dog friendly, so you and your furry best friend can visit year-round, and it gives you a backyard feeling with string lights and picnic tables. This is a very popular location and can get quite busy, so plan to get there early if you’d like to secure a table.
If you find yourself hungry while there, you can order something from their menu which features a few salads and sandwiches. Alternatively, you can order food to be delivered or walk next door for some delicious BBQ from ZZQ! When it first opened, Ardent was leasing its facility but only 3 years later (2017), they decided to make Scott’s Addition a permanent home by purchasing the brewery from their landlord. This purchase allowed them to make changes and focus on the future while staying cemented in the neighborhood.
One of the many things to love about Ardent is that they offer a wide variety of beer (IPA’s, DIPA’s, porters, stouts, saisons, pilsners, etc.). There is literally something for everyone! Be sure to try their “Honey Ginger” Spiced/Herb Beer if they have it when you visit – just plan to have a DD (like #LOLABUS) because it packs a bit of a punch (7.8% ABV).
